Fuel surcharge calculator for UK hauliers
Your contract's base diesel price against the latest complete week of the UK diesel average, as a surcharge on your rate.
The latest complete week of UK pump diesel, the week ending , averaged 197.1 pence a litre (7 daily readings). Source: UK Fuel Finder forecourt prices.
How it is worked out
Surcharge (% of the rate) = fuel share × (this week's average − base price) ÷ base price. A negative result is a reduction. The weekly figure is the average of the daily readings stored for the latest complete Monday-to-Sunday week, so one day's price never sets the surcharge.
Your contract may set its own index, base date or review period; this uses the UK forecourt average shown above.
